An important part of WAiV’s mission is to model for our children that we value the volunteer spirit.

For the past 5 years WAiV has been giving scholarship/awards to graduating seniors who live in volunteer families.

Since 2021 WAiV has distributed over 45 awards to students, three each to kids from Kingston, Onteora and Saugerties. It is a modest $100 award, but the students really appreciate it and their families also are happy that their children have received an award because of them.

WAiV wants to demonstrate to the students that their community values what their parents have been doing.
